one hAppY B-day!!

Javis & I spent his birthday in the one and only beautiful Coeur d' Alene Idaho (since we're now both frequent flyers)! We had a blast together and later that night we went out for sushi and a movie. I didn't think I liked sushi... but I must say I think I am now an addict : ) I cant wait to go home and look for a sushi restaurant that we can go to! We had a really nice time together and it was very relaxing... I don't think we've had anything really like that since we've been married.. It was really great!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!!

Our Little Man

We have found so much entertainment in Wickers... I know that we both cant imagine how we could live without him! He brings us so much joy and no matter what he is always there for us!! He's our little companion and no matter what we are doing he's always by our side watching and analyzing ... Last Sunday Javis and I were busy making lunch and Wickers insisted on sitting on top of the cupboards by the heater... while he was up there I got this cute video of him!

Home Sweet Home

Well we have been in our new apartment for exaclty 11 days.. so almost two weeks!

We are definitely starting to feel more settled in.. everything is unpacked and put into place all we have to do is hang a few things on the wall. Javis has been traveling quite a bit... sometimes its just a day trip and other times its a few days. He got to go to St. George last week which from what I hear is like a little peice of California. : ) I cant wait until we get to go there together!

We have been busy and have been meeting new people and making new friends. We have also been fortunate to already have family come and visit. Its surprising how much has happened in 11 days! Its so exciting to be in a new place and to go through this journey together! Everything is new to us and we love it here a lot more then we had expected!

Before the Move

Our Last picture in our old apartment.. .were gonna miss it

*Well we have been so busy that I have had little to no time to blog about whats been going on. Especially before the move...

*But we had fun packing up all our stuff and spending time with all our family! Even though it was stressful we stuck together and made it threw all the challenges.

*A lot of wonderful things occurred before we left... my cousin Kayleen had her baby girl Addyson! And our sister Shawnte had her baby boy Vance! We wish we could have spent more time with the both of them before we had to leave! They both are so precious!

Our trip 2 Utah

So last Tuesday we left for Utah. When we first got off our plane and into our rental car we drove down to downtown Salt Lake where we got to see the Salt Lake Temple and walk around Temple Square. Even though we didn't get to spend as much time down there as we would have liked it was a truly amazing experience. And we are lucky that we will only be an hour away! While we were there Javis did some training and got some experience in his new position. He did a great job on his presentations and I am so very proud of him!! On Saturday we went out looking for our new home. We found a beautiful brand new 2bed 2bath apartment that is close to Javis' office and is close to school for me. We are super excited and cant wait to be all moved in. We came home on Sunday and have been busy ever since. While we were there we had a great time hanging out with Javis' bosses and their wife's. On Friday we all went bowling and had ice cream which was alot of fun. We are really looking forward to spending more time with them, we know that we are going to build some life-long friendships while we are there!

Playing with Family

Javis and I got to go down to Tri-Cities last weekend. We left Friday and came back home Monday... only to leave for Utah on Tuesday. On Saturday we all went to the park and then came home and played Aggravation and drank hot chocolate! Katrina won so it ended up just being me and the kids. It was really fun to get to hangout and play games and to just relax. Jayden really loved playing with my pink phone (I think the pink is what really made it his favorite... Hehe. We love you Jayden!!) But we have been very busy, and we are so glad that we got to spend time with our family! We had such a great time and it was hard to say goodbye. We hope that they will visit us in Utah as soon as they get a chance. We love them all very much!

Packing up for UTAH

Oh the joys of packing...

On Monday Javis and I spent the night packing up some of our things.

We have so much going on and we are trying to get as much done while we still have the time and the energy.

Luckily we got a lot done and we had a blast!

Once I got tired, I decided to take a little break and take some pictures of Javis doing the "work". Even though packing isn't very enjoyable Javis and I enjoyed each others company and had a great time...like usual!

New Projects

So lately I have been busy making my Christmas presents and my homemade Christmas cards. That has kept me busy for quite a while and even with Christmas over I am still working on a few more signs for Javis and I and some other family. Thanks to my Uncle Mark I had a whole bunch of wood pre-cut so I have been painting them and then witting the sayings on them free hand.
Some of them I hang with fabric which turns out really neat and some of them I just put hangers on the back. I had a few really big pieces so I did one of them for our new home!
And even though packing keeps me busy enough the time has come to take on a new project- so I decided to make a rug! I got the idea from my wonderful sister-in-law Sarah. I sure do like to keep busy with projects and crafts so I'm enjoying working on the rug-it seems to give me an escape from reality.

Utah... Here We Come!

So as most of you all know Javis and I will be moving to Utah!
Javis was offered a promotion and we decided to take it. We are both super excited. Javis works very hard and he more then deserves this opportunity! In January we will be going down to Utah for a few days together, Javis will be doing some training for his new position and we will be able to look for our new home. Then we will move down February 1st. So we have one month to pack up our stuff and spend time with all our family and close friends before we say goodbye. It came as a big surprise for both of us but we are defiantly looking forward to all the new changes.

For those of you who are finding out now by my post... I apologize! Javis and I have been very busy and have been trying to get all our stuff together before the big move and the big change.
We love you all very much.

A Winter Wonderland

A picture of the CDA park... it looks so beautiful!
Here's a picture of our apartment complex
And my Mom send me this picture of their deck... it really shows how much snow we have gotten over such a short period of time!

So we woke up today to find out that we were almost completely snowed in!
So far we have at least three feet of snow and it is still coming down!!
My Mom picked me up today and took me to NIC because I had a couple of things I had to do, on our way home we took a few pictures of the CDA park by the lake.
It sure is annoying to drive in the snow... but it does look gorgeous.

Oh Christmas Tree

Monday the 15th Javis and I finally got some time to put up our FIRST Christmas tree! We had such a great time decorating and listening to Christmas music. It really helped us get into the Christmas spirit and I wish we could have put it up sooner.. but there is always next year.
We are looking forward to our very first Christmas spent with family and close friends.

So here are a few pictures of us. I am trying to fix the star and pose for Javis.... and Javis is putting on an ornament! We don't have a camera that works.. and had to borrow my Moms and use our phone... So I hope they all turned out okay!

WE WISH YOU ALL A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS

Two little Kitty Cats...

So two weeks ago my Mom and I brought in our two cats Batman and Wickers to get neutered and de-clawed. We have never had a cat de-clawed before and had heard some pretty horrible stories about how it can change the cats whole personality.
Well I am glad to say that two weeks have gone by and they are finally healed and back to their normal self's. For the past two weeks they have been limping around and acting unusual because they were in so much pain. It was really hard to watch and I think I would have a hard time doing it again ... knowing what it was like for them. But they are better now and when Javis and I move into a place that allows us to have pets we can take Wickers with us and he wont ruin our furniture and our carpet.
Here are a couple pictures of the Kitty brothers hanging together. They are SO spoiled by my parents its unbelievable. I dont know if we will ever be able to seperate them... if not then I guess I will have to take both!

Fight Night!

A couple weekends ago Javis and I went to watch his friend Kalab fight in Spokane. We were really excited to get to go out and get away from our busy schedules. We really had a great time!!

Happy Birthday Shasta!

On Saturday the girls went up to Bonner's Ferry to get Shasta for some girl time! (Sadly Sarah wasn't able to come and we missed her a lot.)
We all had such a blast! We went out to lunch, then we went to go get our nails&toes done, and then we all went and looked at this cute little store in Sandpoint. It was so nice to be with the girls and have some relaxing time together.

Afterwards we brought Shasta back home for her SURPRISE birthday party! We all had such a great day together and the party was really great as well because we got to spend time with all the family!

Unfortunately we forgot our cameras so this is the only picture of our girls day out! Shawnte took this with her phone... when Shasta still had on her kitten paws. : )

GO TROJANS!! #77

This was Jerry's first year on varsity and needless to say my mom and me were avid fans!
I loved going to every game and even though we didn't have a winning season we had a great time! And there is always next year!
So on Halloween it was the last game of the season and we won against CD'A 17-13! Jerry got lots of playing time throughout the season especially considering he was only a junior.
We are all so PROUD of him!!!

Picture Tag!

So Shasta is probably thinking "I tagged you Chaylia now where is your picture?" : ) Well here it is!
It defiantly makes me smile to see this picture. It doesn't matter what Javis and I are doing we are always having a great time! I remember laughing hysterically the whole time these pictures were taken!! This is defiantly a neat thing to look at old pictures. When I found this one, I started looking at all the other ones as well. Javis and I have had some GREAT times together and we still have many more to come!!
Thanks for tagging me Shasta : )

Now for picture description:
As most of you know Javis and I took Christmas pictures last year for our Christmas cards. My brother took them for us and they turned out very well. But at the beginning he couldn't figure out whether he should use the flash or not so he was just messing around in order to figure it out. Well Javis and I decided to do silly faces.... and tada here they are!! Fourth file-fourth picture!! Hope you all enjoy : ) hehe

Ouch!!

Well Javis has every Monday off, and since I have school on Mondays and I am gone until noon. Javis usually goes to the Church to play basketball with the missionaries. He always has such a blast because lets just face it he loves anything that involves a basketball. Well yesterday after school I came home and called him to see where he was... he said I'm just leaving. I asked him if he was okay because I could tell something was going on. He said " I think I broke my hand" and automatically I went into panic mode. In a few minutes he was home, and lets just say his hand was extremely swollen. (We both agreed that it looked like a blown up latex glove, and still does!) I felt so bad for him and I could tell he was in pain. He says that he jumped up to shot a basket and the guy behind him had ducked down for some reason. And when Javis came down the guy was behind him and Javis ended up putting his hand down first in order to catch his fall .. as we know now he landed on his had completely wrong. : /
... But to make a long story short he went into the hospital and had his Mom do an x-ray ...

and everything looked OK. So we are super relieved that nothing was broken. However, he is going to have to give it some tender loving care : )

*This the only picture that I got of it this morning before my camera died, but you can tell that its pretty swollen!

Ice Cream-FUN

Well last Friday was our 2 month anniversary. It was the day that we had been married for two months and together for two years and two months. So it was a very special day for us. Javis had work and I had school. But that night after we ate dinner we walked to baskin robbins! It was dark outside but it wasnt a very far walk. We had such a blast!! We laughed and laughed and it just showed how special it is to be with each other it doesn't matter what were doing : )
We love married life and we love that we get to spend almost all our time together. It is so great, and we are truly happy! And we defiantly love each other more and more every day!!
In the pictures we are practicing our sad faces...
( Javis seems to find my sad face extremely hilarious.. he is so funny, I love him SOO much)
