This Week...

We have had a busy busy week!
Tuesday Javis and I went to the Guns & Roses concert. It was a total blast and I'm so glad we got to go. Wednesday we had Javis's work Christmas party, which is always fun! Thursday we had our family pictures and after we had another Christmas party. It was a packed week for sure because on top of all the activities in the evening I was babysitting during the day and Javis was working of coarse so that made us too exhausted individuals. We also found out that Liliana got her very first ear infection and she really wasn't sleeping well or feeling well at all. So all of this was adding up fast. I also was a emotional mess all week which didn't help.
Last week my best friend and neighbor was planned to be induced and I was so very excited for her. I had thrown her a baby shower and I was so ready to finally meet her little boy and get to hold him. So we would talk about how I had this busy schedule planned but that I would also have to fit in time to come and see him, of coarse. I was so so excited for her, she had had a painful pregnancy and I knew how hard it had been for her.
He was born on Wednesday December 7th and was healthy, I was so excited I cant even explain. I ended up hearing from her the next day saying that her baby was extremely sick & that he was in the nicu, they were running test but at the time they didn't know what was wrong. I was so worried, I cant even imagine how that would feel. I must have checked my phone a thousand times wondering how they were doing. Later she told me that he had Group B Strep and that he was in critical condition. My heart broke for her but I continued to comfort her and believed that it would be okay and that they would be taking him home. The whole time he was in the nicu she kept me posted on how he was doing.. it felt horrible to know that not only was the precious little boy sick and I couldn't do anything but that my best friend was going threw this pain and that I couldn't be by her side. We found out very early Tuesday morning that he had passed. It was the worst feeling I have ever felt. So many emotions were running threw me, I was mad, upset, confused and so many other extreme feelings. All week long we have had all these plans but nothing really mattered because deep down I was broken inside for my best friend had just lost her beautiful child. I had been fighting so many feelings all week, wanting to be there for her but knowing that that time isn't here yet. They are grieving just like anyone would and I have been respecting that for I know that is what she truly needs. Friday I went to the showing with another neighbor and close friend. And Saturday Javis and I went to the funeral and burial. Both parents spoke such beautiful talks that touched my heart and gave me comfort that they will be with him again and that this is not the end. There was a moment when I saw my beautiful friend speaking to her three year old and her face was glowing, she was glowing. As if angles where surrounding her. I can't exactly explain it but it gave me so much peace. I knew at that moment that she was not alone. I have never experience the death of anyone close to me, so it was hard for me to do. But not all things are easy in life and not all things are made for us to understand. My believes have been tested this week, and I have felt many feelings for this wonderful family. I do know that they are strong, amazing people who where chosen to be parents to this beautiful loving boy so that he could get his body and return to our heavenly father.
I share this so that maybe everyone can be reminded to hug our children a little tighter every night. To not take anything for granite, that life is beautiful and that we are blessed with many many things each and every one of us. My dear friend Stephanie is one of the biggest blessings in my life and I am extremely grateful for her and her family.

TWO!!

We took Family Pictures/Liliana's 2 year old pictures last week on Thursday. It was actually pretty darn cold outside and she had a hard time but we did get some good ones. We wont get them all until after Christmas. But here is a sneak peek!! They all melt my heart! She is so perfect.

Thanksgiving!!

We went to Boise this year for Thanksgiving and spent it with my parents, my Aunt and her family, and my Grandpa. We had a blast!! The food was amazing like always and we even got to go out and play football with everyone. Everyone from my Grandpa all the way down to Liliana was out throwing the ball and it was even a beautiful day outside! The next day all of us girls went and did a little black Friday shopping. It was the first time I have ever really done that and it was only really fun because I was with all of my family : ). We had so so much fun and got to do so much while we were there. I'm so thankful for family and for all the amazing people I have in my life. I am thankful for heavenly father and all of the many many blessings he has given Javis and I. I am so very thankful for this time of the year, it truly is magical.

My little girl is 2!!

I can't believe how fast time has gone by. It feels like just the other day when I was holding her in my arms for the first time. She can do so much now and can talk so well. She also just sparked up a massive interest in the potty!! : ) She loves to color and help me do just about everything. She is so much fun and I am so grateful that I am able to stay home with her and see all the amazing things she learns on a daily bases.
Her birthday started out with Grandma& Grandpa Silva singing happy birthday to her on skype while she danced and told them that she is 2! She also got a call from Grandma Cornett who got to talk to her for a little bit and wish her a happy birthday.
We had a great little party for her and invited all the neighbors. My brother and his wife Bree,my parents, and Javis & I all pitched in and got her her first play kitchen. She got all the goodies to go with. She got food, dishes, and even a super cute zebra apron with her name on it! She was so excited and had to wear her princess outfit and shoes even while she was eating her cake. She loved her cake this year, last year she wasn't into it at all so that was so fun to see her enjoy it. We are so thankful for our wonderful neighbors and everything that they do for us. They really helped make Liliana's day special!!
We love our little girl so much and we are so grateful to have her in our life's. She is such a beautiful blessing. Happy second Birthday Lilibug!!

Liliana is almost 2!

rl! These were taken by my Mom on Skype... I thought they were absolutely adorable. She just loves talking to Gam'ma on Skype!! I am so grateful that I can skype with my mom and that my daughter can build a relationship with her Grandma no matter how far away we live. Liliana is almost two and I just cant believe how big she is and how much she can do. She is so good at saying please and thank you and she is so loving to other kids. She loves to watch spongebob, play with her baby dolls, and even sits and lets mom do her hair. She wants to pick out her clothes and feed herself. She is so big and and independent.

October where did you go?

Wow October has come and gone in a blink of an eye! My family came at the beginning of October and helped us build a fence. The weather was not the greatest but we didnt let that stop us : ). Then we went to St. George with Javis for work. It was really cool to have 90 degree weather and palm trees. Then we got a puppy and then Halloween!! The puppy is for Liliana's 2nd birthday and she is in LOVE with him. We named him Jasper and even tho he is alot of work it is a great time to get him. We have a fence and Liliana is old enought to play with him and to really enjoy him. And for Halloween Lililana was a Ladybug or shall we say Lilibug!! She had a hard time at first understanding that she couldnt eat every peice of candy as soon as she got it, but once she got the hang of it she really enjoyed it!! By the end of the night she was carrying her pumpkin bucket and leaning to one side because it was so full of candy she could barely hold it.She got to go with our neighbor's little girl so that made it even more fun to be with her best little bud Brinlee! Even tho October has gone by so fast we did alot this month! Life is sure flying by fast but its a total blast!! Here are just a few pictures of our highlights for October...Enjoy

Peach Days

This was our second time going to peach days. We brought Liliana to the parade & straight after we went down to the rides. I think she really enjoyed it this year She is getting so big now and taking her to things like this and seeing her face light up is really special and means a lot to Javis and I. It was hot tho and we didn't last long but it was worth it and who knows it may become our new tradition : )

Our House

Our House September 2011
We have been working hard all year on our house. Javis did the sprinklers all by himself. He worked his butt of and I'm so proud of him. Then we planted our seed for our grass. Which wasn't as easy as it may seem. Our soil is so rocky and we really but a lot of work in making it level. Then we brought in gravel and planted 14 trees! We are eventually going to lay cement down over the gravel so we can have extra parking and a bigger space to play basketball : ). Our next project is going to be our fence. The plan is that my Dad is going to come down and help us build it next month. My Grandpa and Mom will also be coming down!! We are so excited. I'm so proud of how hard we have worked and how blessed we are to be able to get all of this done. We have just barely been in our house for a year so far.

So summer is quickly coming to an end and I have hardly updated my blog!!
So its picture time.! here are just a few pictures of my trip with my Grandpa and Liliana up to Idaho to see my brother. : )

Holy June!!

I can not believe it is the middle of June already!! Where has time gone?
I got my wisdom teeth pulled in the beginning of May... I didn't get knocked out and they had to drill my jaw bone to get to my bottom two. So yeah it kinda stunk!! But I had my Mom here to help me with Liliana and to help out around the house. I am so thankful that she made the trip here to be with us during that time! I still cant believe tho that my mouth is not all the way healed ... getting your wisdom teeth pulled is a serious thing!! Luckily I have no more pain : )

Then towards the end of May we had our good friends Andrew & Megan Richards come stay with us for a night since they were in town. It was so good to see them and have them stay with us. A few days after they left Sherry and Gary came to visit us! It was so nice for them to be able to come and spend some time with us. We got to go do lots of fun things and enjoy the out doors a little bit. We went on a nice hike and got to take Sherry to Bear Lake which is so gorgeous! We also got to go to the crystal hot springs which was great fun too. We have never been out there, even tho it is only about 10 minutes from our house. Liliana did hurt her arm tho on our hike which was pretty nerve racking. Luckily her doctors office was still open and we were able to drive her straight there and they popped it back into place and she was almost immediately better.

We still have company tho because right now my cousin Rachael and her boyfriend Brian are here visiting us for a week. I'm so happy that she was able to come and see Liliana! She brought Liliana a huge stuffed Spongebob! And for all of you who don't already know ... Lili LOVES Spongebob. I will try to get some pictures up soon!

Liliana is getting so big and about a week ago we finally took her completely off her bottle. It was ruff at first and she still is only napping if she is laying with me... but she is doing REALLY good at night now : ) and we are so relieved. She is almost 19 months now and I cant believe how big she is. She loves other kids, she understands so much now, and is really starting to want to do everything on her own. We love her to death of coarse and I cannot imagine our lives with out her.

Easter 2011

We had a great Easter weekend and Liliana got to do her first Easter egg hunt with our neighbors. She didnt quite understand but had a great time anyways. My Mom sent her her 1st Easter basket and she had a blast going through and looking at all the toys. She kept saying "ooo" with her mouth in the shape of an O . It was so adorable!
